KhadjahAlsagoff: MAKEUP FOREVER STEP 1 PRIMER MATTIFYING SKIN

Hi guys!

I'm finally back! And will be officially uploading my blog according to what I had planned to do which is I will upload every Monday and Friday! Yay! Hopefully after this, there will not be another delay!:) I will upload tomorrow for Friday's blog!

Anyways, today, I will be doing my review on the Makeup Forever Step 1 Equalizer primer. Okay, so imagine, you have oily skin (which is already not easy to maintain) and you live in a hot climate aka Singapore. So basically you perspire and have oil on your face which makes you look greasy and bleh.

Which brings me to say, I have oily skin and with the hot sun I perspire alot, I know TMI but I really wanted to give this primer a try! It retails for $65 here in Singapore >< and I was not willing to fork out that kind of money for a primer. So i was on a searching like a mad woman on Carousell (a place where you can sell and buy) for this primer which is brand new and selling at a cheaper price. Finally, I found one and I got my hands on it! When I first squeezed it out of the tube, it smells so good and that made me kinda happy :D

Anyways, moving onto the actual product it is really good at keeping my oil at bay for about 5 to 6 hours and I find that amazing for my oily skin. Many people complain that its hard to squeeze it out the tube but I didn't find that happening to me and I have used it many times. Many people also complained it was hard to blend the foundation. Well in my opinion, its hard to blend because all the oil on your skin is being soaked up by the primer thats why it is not easy to blend as there no moisture left on your skin. My logic. However for me, I don't find it hard to blend my foundation as I use my Real Techniques Miracle Sponge (blog post up soon) with water and it helps blend it smoothly and still keep me matte so yay! I hope this does help people who find it hard to blend your foundation. It could also be because you might have used too much of it. Many also claimed that it caked up their face and again I don't find that happening to me. I would suggest you use little by little as it can be heavy.

And surprisingly as I am looking at the pictures, it did cover up my redness a bit.

So as you guys can see, this primer specifically for my type of skin is amazing! I absolutely love it and as it is on the expensive side, I don't use it as often ><

This primer has recieved a lot of love and I totally understand why! If or when I finish this primer, I am definitely going to repurchase it! Many youtubers have also raved about them. Especially Jaclyn Hill and Manny MUA on their hydrating and radiant primer!

Pros:

Keeps me matte all day

Smells nice

Covers up a little bit of my redness

Lasts long

Cons:

Expensiveeeeee
